Premiere The Chinese powercruiser from MBP
The MBP C1002V power cruiser is characterized by a distinctly stylish appearance and promising technical data and with a V2 engine.
Chinese bikes confuse more and more people nowadays. Obviously, there is a wide group of people who even today only loudly complain about them. Those who can regularly ride their latest models already know: the motorcycle industry of the vast eastern country does not give us the future, but the present. Now MBP has flashed a big one: their V2 cruiser, the C1002V, that will be available next year.
The heart of the C1002V is a 997cc V2 block. The cylinders form an angle of 80° to each other, the maximum output is 94 HP at 7,600 rpm, and the peak torque is 102 Nm. However, the bike itself is much more attractive than the pure technical data. A very long, elongated silhouette, a deep saddle, or the lamp that includes a round but four LED lighting unit.
Of course, the technical content fully meets the expectations of 21st century motorcyclists. The power source can be controlled with an electric throttle, so there are various engine maps to choose from, and automatic cruise control is included in all models. Unfortunately, we don't know much about the chassis or the brakes for now - however, based on the pleasant experience provided by the MBP M502N, it is quite possible that this part of the engine was put together properly, too. The last question (unanswered yet) is the price. Latest Chinese bikes are not really cheaper then the Japanese or European competitors, but the same time, they are not worse at all. Since the C1002V primarily wants to compete with Harley-Davidson models for the favors of customers, its price may not be a disadvantage when it enters the market.
