Nov 16, 2022

Motorcycle speedometerThe short answer is, that the instrument must be deceiving, since if it showed an accurate value, then from the slightest change eg. a higher profile, overinflated tire) we could already commit speeding without even knowing about, since the gauge would show that we are complying the rules.

What's more, the regulation also includes the fact that manufacturers must check the accuracy of the instrument at a certain temperature, which is particularly strange, since the engine standing in the sun (and the passenger compartment of a car) can easily heat up to fifty degrees, that is, in the rarest cases, it works at an average temperature of 20-25 degrees the speedometer in the environment.
